Mount Cheget is one of the closest neighbors of the majestic Elbrus, from here the best views of Elbrus open. Cheget, which has two peaks: the Azau-Gitche-Cheget-Karabashi peak with a height of 3461 and Donguz-Orunbashi 3769 m above sea level. In winter, Cheget is popular among extreme skiers, and in summer it serves as a training ground for acclimatization of those preparing to climb Elbrus. In summer, at the foot of Cheget it can be quite hot and windless; at an altitude of 1000-1500 m there is a strip of alpine meadows with fresher, windy weather. At the very top it is always winter and there is snow cover. Sometimes at an altitude of 2500-3000 m you can observe a mixture of seasons - green meadows and flowers sprinkled with snow.

The Chiranbashi-Suu waterfall (which translated from the Karachay-Balkar language means “maiden braids”) is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Elbrus region. The width of the Chiranbashi-Suu water stream is almost 15 meters. The waterfall is “fed” by Gara-Bashi, a melting glacier, one of the 23 glaciers of Elbrus. Below, the water that has fallen from the slope flows into the Gara-Suu River. Water falling from a great height (about 30 meters) beautifully “scatters” in flight in long streams, reminiscent of the hair of some local Circassian beauty.

From the top observation deck there are wonderful views of the Caucasus Mountains: the Baksan Valley, the peaks of Ushba, Shkhelda, Donguz-Orun, Cheget and others are clearly visible. The route to the Terskol Peak Observatory is a continuation of the path to the Maiden Spit waterfall. The round trip distance is about 15 kilometers. Due to the large elevation difference - 1000 meters - this route requires good physical fitness and two or three preparatory walks along easier routes.

Azau Waterfall is a thin 30-meter stream on a small tributary of the Baksan River, originating in the glaciers of Elbrus. He falls from a steep cliff in a canyon near Polyana Azau. The height above sea level here is 2500 m. Azau waterfall can be considered one of the most accessible for the average tourist among those located directly at the foot of Elbrus. The eco-trail Yusengi - Polyana Narzanov - Polyana Cheget - Azau leads to the waterfall, passing through the forest on the southern side of the road to Polyana Azau. You can enter the trail in different places, which will determine the length of the path to the waterfall. From the lower station of the cable car to Elbrus - only 600 m.

Polyana Narzanov is a unique place at the confluence of the Baksan and Kogutayka rivers, where 17 mineral springs have found their way to the surface of the earth. They are rich in various microelements, including potassium, magnesium and iron.
You can get to the Narzan glade along eco trails through the reserve - Elbrus National Park, on the territory of which our hotel is located; the walk will take 20-30 minutes. You can also combine it with a horseback ride along eco-trails.

The Alpaca Park is a unique place where you can meet and get acquainted with alpacas, llamas, deer and other rare and fascinating animals. The park itself is small, but very cozy and atmospheric. It’s comfortable here even when it’s dark, as the entire area is well lit. You can pour yourself some tea and take some cookies, which is included in the ticket price. On the territory there are places to relax and sun loungers where you can sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the nature around - a pine forest and the Baksan mountain river. Donguz-Orun-Kel is an amazingly beautiful mountain reservoir. It is distinguished by an unusual combination of shades: turquoise, emerald, sand. The colors are caused by minerals that enter the lake with two streams of meltwater. The colors are especially noticeable in the sun, so a clear day is best to visit. Let us remind you that the lake belongs to the border zone. Donguz-Orun-Kel lies at an altitude of about 3000 m above sea level and occupies a mountain depression between the mountains Cheget, Donguz-Orun and Nakratau (4269 m), near it there is the Semerka glacier. The western shore of the lake is flat, swampy in high water. The path to the lake passes through alpine meadows. It is available in two versions. The first begins at Polyana Cheget with a cable car ride up to Cheget-2 station (2750 m), where the famous cafe “Ai” is located, and then continues for 2.4 km with a walk along the southeastern slope of Cheget. The second involves a hike from Polyana Cheget and is suitable for true walking enthusiasts: the route is steeper and longer (3.8 km). You can also combine the route with horseback riding along eco-trails.

In the Baksan Gorge of Kabardino-Balkaria, near the village of Bylym, among rocky mountains and green hills, there is an unusually beautiful Lake Gizhgit with turquoise water and snow-white sandy beaches.

The Tyzyl Gorge in Kabardino-Balkaria is called the most beautiful in the republic. The majestic rocks here form picturesque canyons, and the mountain plateaus are decorated with a delightful carpet of herbs and flowers. There are many waterfalls hidden among the rocks of the Tyzyl Gorge. Most often these are small streams, but there are also large cascades. The most famous waterfall is Tyzyl-Su. It originates on the Inal plateau and rushes down from a height of more than 100 meters. The Tyzyl-Su waterfall has one peculiarity - approximately in the middle of the fall, its flows weaken and gradually turn into water dust blown by the wind. Because of this dust, not a single tourist will leave the waterfall dry.

The health complex with thermal springs "Geduko" is located near the village of Kishpek in the Baksan region of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The main Chegem waterfall consists of several streams that flow into the river, showering everything around with cool splashes. The streams are so small that the wind easily blows them up and rainbows from the sun's rays appear in the water dust.
